ARTS & CULTURE EVENTS

Paintings. Pictures. Performers.

Duluth offers excellent opportunities to experience the arts and culture of this region. From art galleries, shows and fairs, to performing arts, music and events, Duluth is a great place to enjoy the arts year-round!

Every night of the week, you’ll find something happening in Duluth’s lively arts and cultural scene. From downtown to Proctor, you’ll find a number of theater companies staging productions in comedy, drama, or musical. Downtown, you can hear the harmonies of well-regarded symphony. You can discover galleries of photography, paintings and pottery, in local restaurants and cafes, and across the bridge in Superior. And nearly every weekend of the year, you can enjoy festivals and fairs featuring painters and potters and live bands to suit any musical palate.

The A.H. Zeppa Family Foundation - the Zeppa Foundation has been a driving force in growing the performance and visual arts in our community. The Foundation has supported many of Duluth’s existing arts and cultural resources, like the Duluth Playhouse, and Duluth Art Institute. Recently the Foundation has worked to develop the Zeitgeist Arts Building – a 2 screen movie theater, all-ages performance and music venue, and restaurant supporting local food producers. All located downtown under one roof - ZeitgeistArts.com.
